$0-$10k Mrr 60 Day Saas Transformation
Have you ever felt like you're stuck in an endless cycle of launching products, only to see them fade away? Every idea you have, every business you launch seems to fail and get no where? If you're nodding in agreement, then in this email I want to share with you how I overcame this very problem.
The Launch is Just the Beginning
When I started my first business at 16, the thrill of the launch was everything, I had a product I wanted to sell, I spent ages tirelessly working on the website, the design of the product and rushed to launch.
By some miracle this business ended up earning $50k in six months! It felt like conquering the world. All my friends at school had no Idea how much money I was making, I felt like a king. I thought I was the best businessman who ever lived.
But then, in a very short amount of time this entire business crumbled. Customers asked for refunds, marketing dried up, dispute rates were high, and I couldn’t deliver the product I’d dreamt of creating.
It was sole crushing. This was just the beginning. This pattern continued with every side hustle I tried - they all failed. I’d launch and burn customers, over and over and over again. Sound familiar?
The Breakthrough with ChatIQ.ai
Fast forward to 9 months ago. I launched ChatIQ.ai. This time, something was different. I hit $10k MRR in just 60 days! How? I learned that the real game starts post-launch. The true challenge isn't just in starting - it's in sustaining.
Putting aside product research and an effective launch strategy, what we are really trying to build here is a long term sustainable business. To do this we need to make sure we keep on top of every detail, understand our customers and use their feedback to keep growing.
Learning the Hard Way
Here's the big lesson I learned: Keeping your customers happy is way more important than just getting them in the door. In all my earlier businesses, I wasn't listening to my customers. I wasn't fixing problems or making things better based on what they said.
And this is what lead to every business I had to crash and burn. I could spend hours on marketing and bringing on customers, but If they wouldn’t keep coming back, I’d failed.
My Journey: A Mirror to Yours
Let's rewind a bit. My journey mirrors what many of you experience. Passion drove me, but I very quickly realised, people do not buy a product just because you are passionate about it. They buy because you understand them, their fears, their wants, their desires. You must learn what drives your customer.
People buy based on emotion, they then justify with logic. So, for the launch of ChatIQ, I decided to focus on the customer before I even started to scale. This time I wanted to make sure, when I scaled, the infrastructure was in place to sustain my business.
This meant, before I was driving traffic I had customer care setup, feedback systems setup, a community built, content and course material ready to teach people how to use my product.
I wanted to make sure this time, when I grew this business it would retain customers and compound.
When you think about it, this really makes sense, but ironically, despite this, most people when starting a business skip all the important steps and dive strait in to asking “how do i get more traffic?” when their business is not setup to withstand scaling. Maybe this is you?
So, how do YOU do this?
Your Path to Being Awesome
How do you make a business that lasts and keeps growing? Well here's the secret recipe:
Have an awesome dream and work hard to make it real.
Remember, launching your product is just the beginning.
Really listen to your customers – they're the bosses, after all.
Use their ideas to make your product even better.
Keep those customers happy and coming back for more.
As soon as you follow these steps, and build your business the right way, you’ll soon see the exact hockey stick that I saw with ChatIQ.ai
Its a matter of setting the building blocks up in the right order.
In the last email I went into a lot of detail on marketing. The reality we discovered was getting customers is actually the easiest part of growing a business.
The real reason we are building a saas is because of the mrr. We want to stack subscription revenue, and if we can maintain this for 12-24+ months, this is where we have a real business.
But, if we rush into a launch, we build a product just to scratch our own itch we will most likely fail. We will ignore the customer, we won’t adapt and learn from our users and they will eventually go to your competitors.
The End Goal
What's the end goal? It's having a bunch of customers who don't just like what you sell but love it and tell everyone they know about it. That's when you know you've made it.
How do we do this? Well, we just ask our users to give feedback, we manage our customer support. If someone has a problem, get to their email instantly. If someone has a feature request, talk to them, identify WHY they want it. See if other users want the same thing.
Very soon, what will happen is we end up creating a product that fits like a missing puzzle piece into the market. You’ll start doing things you never would’ve thought of. In reality, your customers drive the business, they scale it.
What’s next?
In my last email I mentioned I’ve been building a deep dive training into the hidden marketing strategies I use day to day to drive thousands of new users to my saas.
There's currently over 250 slides, going all the way from how to get traffic, to going viral, to getting new users, offering a paid plan, and more importantly, retaining those users for 12+ months.
And I'm going to give it all away for free, on a live call for all of you!
However, I’ve been super focused recently on implementing some new updates for my software ChatIQ (again, driven by what my users want and have requested).
I will be doing this live training very soon, but in the meantime, if there’s anything you’d like me to cover that I may have missed, feel free to reply to this email or message me on Twitter.
So keep your eyes open for when I launch the free live training. Make sure you open every email that comes in over the next few weeks.
