My App Built By AI Is Now Making Money!
I built an app using ChatGPT, and now only 7 days later, its making its first mrr!
First Paying User and Mrr!
If you read my previous email, you’ll remember a few days ago I launched a new saas product. BopIt.app, the idea was to prove that AI can code well enough to launch an MVP, and there’s no excuse to not build or launch your idea.
Well today, I want to share some more motivation with you all, because only a few days after launch, BopIt has it’s first paying user and recurring revenue!

How Did I Do It?
When I launched BopIt, it was very important that I got some quick feedback, I wanted to get as many users as possible in a short enough time period that would allow me to prove launching a saas wasn’t as hard as people make out.
I went through this in a bit of detail in my other emails, but essentially my launch plan is very simple. When building your product, its essential that you start building in public.
This means sharing your journey, showing people the features you’re working on. The goal is to start getting your name out there, and hyping up your launch.
So that’s exactly what I did, during the first 72 hours of building, I filmed everything. It’s all out there, you can view the videos on my IG and TikTok.

This is enough to get people interested in your project, if you’re lucky, you might grow quicker than I did. The key here it to make a series, that people ENJOY watching, and will want to come back and watch.
In the bio of my socials I linked people to my waitlist, where I sent emails updating people on the progress. Ideally the build would have taken a few weeks, and enabled me to build a larger list. In the end only 100 people joined the waitlist.
How to keep the hype
Launching a new product is great, if you do things well you'll get a rush of traffic. They key here is a multi stage marketing deployment. You need to publish your app everywhere, make a real storm. I posted on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, Reddit and in my Newsletter.
You need to track where your users are coming from, then you can double down on what works. But here’s the really cool part, if your app works well, people will start to share it and notice it, and that’s where hockey stick growth comes in.
Free advertising
Within 3 days of launching BopIt, other creators on IG started to notice it, and saw an opportunity to grow their own following by talking about it and pushing traffic to the site.
This is the ideal situation to be in. Creating an app thats free to use with no pay wall at the start is a great way to growth hack. It reduces friction for signups, and makes it easier for other creators to make content on it.

This creator made 1 video, that got over 25,000 views. Just look at the comments, everyone in this video says “YES”, they want the link to the app. The crazy thing here is over 60 new users signed up to BopIt and 1 person even upgraded to a paid account.
I never expected to get any paid users for this app, there’s very few features worth charging for, but regardless I added a pro plan in just in-case, and someone took it.

BopIt is now at an earth shattering $9Mrr… Which I admit is not a lot, but for a product built using AI, in only 3 days the results speak for themselves.
You don’t need the best product in the world and millions of dollars to get your first saas built, and get users paying for it. This is just the beginning for BopIt, next we will add in more useful features, and try and get more people to share it.
