This Secret Traffic Hack Got Me Over 10k Users!

Why Traffic Is Not Your Biggest Problem

I ran a poll on Twitter last week asking what you struggle with the most in your saas/business journey. The results of this poll shocked me. Over 70% of you said traffic was your biggest struggle. So in this email I’m going to show you exactly how to overcome this obstacle and start scaling your saas.

How much do you want to make?

Let’s work back from your end goal here. I’m guessing you’ve already done the maths:

“If I get 100,000 clicks, I sell 1000 customers, I make $10k”

But let me tell you why this is wrong, and how you can actually make $6,000 from just 1000 link clicks.

Here’s how it works, first of all, you’re not charging enough for your product. It’s that simple. How many times have you raised your price? I promise you if you keep raising your prices you can easily double your revenue without reducing conversion rates.

The goal here is to identify the MAX amount we can charge for our product before the drop in conversion rates negatively affect revenue. Aim for a minimum of $50.

How To Make $6,000 from 1000 link clicks

We have a software product, so we have the beautiful ability to charge a monthly subscription. So for every new customer we get we make $50 every month until they cancel.

Now, this is where we make the real money. Exponential growth. We do this by stacking MRR. But lets assume for now we only have 1 month to market our product, how much can we make?

Well, on average, if you have a good enough product, you should have a MINIMUM 12 month lifetime value from your customers. Meaning, for every sale you make you will actually generate $600. Multiply that by 10 customers, you make $6000!

So really, you only need 10 customers to make $6000.

I already knew this, but no one will stay for 12 months!

“Sebastian! That’s all well and good for you, but no one will keep paying for my product for 12 months!” - I hear this a lot, and my response is the same every time: Why?

You see, a lot of beginner business owners hold their business back. You need to take emotion off the table here.

I did a recent poll on twitter asking people why they’re not charging for their Saas, and the most common vote (55%) was: “My product is not good enough”.

I was the same when I started, I didn’t even offer a paid version for a long time because I was convinced people would buy, see a bad product, run a mile, complain and tear my brand down.

I had an issue however, everyone who signed up for free wouldn’t use my app, I couldn’t gather feedback. I didn’t know what was wrong with the app, where the bugs were and what my customers wanted from the app.

So one day I thought, fuck it, I’m running a business here, if I’m not making money I don’t have a brand, ChatIQ.ai needs to make money. So I added a free trial for $15, suddenly 45% of people would sign up for it and 80% of them would keep paying! So I raised this price to $20. People kept buying. I raised to $30, $40, $50 and conversion rates never dropped once!

I was amazed. I was sure this could only be bad for my business! I started making money from my app, AND usage rates were up! What I realised was, by adding in a pay wall for my app, people now had skin in the game, they HAD to use my app, they HAD to learn how to use it.

Something else happened, I was now getting feedback from users, I could learn from them, talk to them and improve my product. I was so involved with the product and helping my customers (great customer service) there was no way they’d cancel. So try charging for your product before you say it’s not good enough.

Whats to say this will work for me?

Now you’re probably spinning with questions, “Free trial vs freemium?”, “Where do I get traffic from?”, “Don’t I need a large following?”. Well, I’ll cover this in my next email, but here’s some motivation for you.

I started tiktok with 24 followers and went from 0-10k users for in just over 2 months. I then launched on X, started from 0 followers and grew to over 1 million views and 3500 followers in 4 weeks and got over 18k visits to my website.

(From our previous maths 18,000 website visits translates into roughly $108,000!)

So now we know traffic isn’t whats holding us back, we know we don’t need a large following to get traffic, and we can make a lot of money from only a handful of customers! Isn’t that cool! Reply “YES” to this email if you think that’s awesome (I know I did!).

So really the only thing holding us back from $100kARR+ is the lifetime value of our customers, the churn rates, the customer satisfaction. We need to learn what problems our customers have, and we need to give them feedback instantly.

Here’s the good news!

I had the same problem, so, as ChatIQ.ai is a customer service AI support bot that knows every detail about your business, I decided to start working on a new update that makes gathering this feedback even easier for me.

Alpha test of ChatIQ support ticketing, AI prioritisation & customer management

Whats more I’m enhancing it with AI. ChatIQ will automatically use AI to categorise, prioritise, and summarise the support tickets from customers. It will use your websites data to draft email responses and suggest actionable steps to take to resolve customer concerns.

It will batch requests from customers together, and alert you via email/sms when high priority tickets come through. You can also customise categories! For example, I'm going to set mine to gather customer questions, account problems, bugs and feature requests.

How cool is that! Im still working on this update, but when I launch the beta I want you to be the first to know. You’ve given me so much so I think you deserve some return love! So, if you like the sound of this update reply to this email, and let me know any ideas you may have!

That’s it for now!

I’ll be back soon with some secret tips, traffic and conversion rate hacks in my next email. In the meantime, if you want to learn more check out my socials below, Im posting a lot more in depth stuff on YouTube now!

Remember to reply with “YES!” if you liked this email, it helps me a lot, and let me know anything you want me to share next!
