STOP! You're Building The Wrong Saas!
Are you building the right saas?
Shiny object syndrome is a big problem each of us face. How do we know we're building the right software? How do we know we're not just wasting our time? Should we move onto a new project?
Always talk to your potential customers.
Let's assume for a second that you are building a software, but you don't have any users. This is a common problem that a lot of people have. The issue we face here, is will anybody buy our product, or is the reason people aren't buying our product because it's not very good?
At this point, it's very easy to tell yourself that you're better off starting a new project, maybe you've seen somebody start a new software and they've seen huge success, or perhaps you keep coming up with new ideas and you think that by building something else you'll have a better chance.
(As a side note, this is what my product looked like when I first launched, scroll down to see the power of committing to one idea for 9 months)

So what do we do?
Well, I want to share with you, something that I learnt yesterday, I'm building a tool into ChatIQ, which allows people to submit support tickets and allows me as a business to better understand my customers and my users.
You may have seen me share the progress of this on Twitter, but I've always been unsure of how useful this feature is for other people. I know I will use it in my business. But I spoke to my brother who also runs a business and he is very excited to use this update.
So I built the update, and all works fine for me, I thought this point I'll be ready to launch. I then decided to ask him to use the software and set it up for his business.
This is where I really learned something amazing. People always say to get people to be to test your software, which I think is highly valuable, but if you can either get on a zoom call, or get somebody to use your software and actually watch them use it, you'll get a very good idea of the features that they want and how they want the app to work.
The result?
Doing this once or twice isn't necessarily going to massively scale your business, but what it will do is make sure that everything you do is pushing your business in the right direction.
I ended up building a list of 30+ updates to make to the app just to make the user experience better and make sure that my brother would actually keep using the software for the use case that he thinks it would be useful for.
The interesting part is, he mentions things that I have never thought of, expectations that he had of the software, or features that he really wish that it had.
If you can do this regularly, and continue to learn from your users, eventually you'll get to the point where you hit product market fit. At this point, your product solves a real world problem, but it's also intuitive for people to use, and obvious that your software solve this problem effectively.
Exciting News!
I’ve almost finished the update for ChatIQ V4! As some of you may know I’ve been heavily focused on development this first month of 2024, developing like crazy to get this update ready for thousands of users, and I’m pleased to say, it’s almost done!
So here’s a sneak preview of what it can do:
Multiple custom AI chatbots
Custom branding
< 2 second AI response times (semantic caching)
Integrated web scraping for training data
In chat support ticketing
AI Powered support ticket replies
Custom priority notifications for support tickets

I’m super excited to launch this new update. It just goes to show, how far you can come if you keep at something for so long. I mentioned shy object syndrome earlier. Because of this, I almost gave up on ChatIQ several times, but I knew I had to remain focused, and you can see how far thats taken me in just a few short months!
Don’t forget guys, I’ll be hosting a free live training very soon so keep your eyes open for when I launch the free live training. Make sure you open every email that comes in over the next few weeks.
