Fed Up With $0Mrr? Try This

If you’re reading this you’re most likely at the worst part of building a saas. Marketing. For many people its a mystical thing that only a select few are able to do/ get results from, all while you’re stuck getting 0 sales.

You probably think you’re alone in this, that everyone else is getting results all while you are struggling to make a sale, maybe you’ve tried everything, maybe you’re trying exactly what everyone’s told you but nothings working.

Well today, we’re about to set that straight. Here’s why no ones buying your saas, and here’s a small exercise to help you get these results:

This system really does work

Here’s Where To Start:

I want you to write this down: “Who is my customer?”. We need to identify the avatar of the person who would buy and use your software, once we know this we know who to target in our marketing.

It's more than just saying "business owners who want to get more traffic"

You have to go deeper, WHAT business owners, WHAT are they feeling, WHAT stage are they at in their business. Are they just starting? Are they currently running a business? Is their business failing? Have they failed before?

Put yourself in the shoes of ALL the people who have ALL the problems you just listed.

You can't help all of them, but your job is to convince as many of them as possible, that what they THINK is the problem, is wrong.

You need to convince them that the real problem is in-fact, something your app can solve.

Here's a small exercise/example for you. For this I'll be selling an analytics tracking saas for facebook and tiktok ads, to help e-commerce brands make more profit.

(* = The things that our saas solves/helps)

1) I want you to write down all the problems your saas solves:

- Know what ads are making money

- Can allow us to spend money on winning ads

- Allows us to identify winning creatives/marketing angles

- Increases profit we make in our business

- Can scale faster

2) Now List the problems your customers are facing

- Not enough traffic

- Can't make sales

- I'm going broke

- Can't make any money / profit from ads

3) List the things those customers are currently BLAMING, what do they THINK is causing those problems in step 2

- Bad advertising strategy

- Poor performing creatives

- Bad landing page

- Too low product price

- Don't know where the sales are coming from

4) Then for each of these, list the solutions they are trying / would have tried to solve them

- Buying media buying courses

- Hiring an ad agency

- Making thousands of new creatives

- Redesigning their landing page

- Setting up UTM tracking/analytics

One of those problems in step 2 is a problem your app solves, and one of the things people blame is something your app can solve.

eg:

Problem: Facebook ads are unprofitable

Solution: Need to know which ads are profitable (do this through data tracking)

If I can make them believe, beyond any doubt, that the real reason their business is not scaling, and the real reason they're losing money on their ads is NOT because of bad creatives, bad landing pages or shitty product, but it is IN-FACT because they're unable to track profitable campaigns, they now have NO REASON NOT TO BUY my saas.

So how do you make them believe this? Easy really, convince them with proof, show them what they already are suspicious of.

They already know one possible cause of the problem is that they can't track their ads properly, so you just need to show them that every other solution they could try is futile if they aren't tracking in the first place.

Think about it, here’s an example sales statement:

"Why test 100 new creatives? You just told me that you can't track which ads are making profitable sales, you'll just waste budget and get inconclusive results.

You're hoping that, through a shot in the dark, enough of your new ads will be profitable enough to balance out your losing ads. Doesn't it make more sense to setup proper tracking first?"

This can get quite confusing and complex, but if you can imagine, in your head, who your customer actually is, and can imagine the problems they face when they are working, then you are going to get a lot more clarity.

So now we know who our customer is, how do we get the traffic?

Easy really, post content. I recommend going ahead and reading my last email here: https://saasscoop.beehiiv.com/p/made-2300-24-hours-saas
